Writing Your Listing
Use the current vehicle editor fields to describe the actual car and give booked guests separate pickup and return instructions.
Prelaunch: Host listings are private drafts and cannot be booked yet. You can prepare the full listing for review and launch.
Listing description
Host web currently has one public Listing description field with a maximum of 2,500 characters. Use it for the vehicle's trim, condition, useful features, cargo or seating details, driving characteristics, and anything a guest should know while deciding.
The current web editor does not have separate Welcome message or Car guide fields. Do not put private access information, lockbox codes, or the exact private pickup address in the public description.
Photos
Upload recent photos of the actual vehicle and place the strongest accurate image first as the cover. Show multiple exterior angles, the interior, cargo area, wheels, and meaningful equipment or cosmetic condition. Listing photos are public marketing media; trip check-in photos are separate private handoff evidence.
Booking settings
The details and pricing sections currently include:
- Exterior color
- Advance-notice hours
- Minimum and optional maximum trip length
- Turnaround buffer
- Instant Book setting
- Manual base price, longer-trip discounts, and optional bounded pricing suggestions
- Included-distance settings and overage rate
- Weekly pickup and return hours
- Unavailable date blocks
Carvia does not force a suggested price. The host's saved pricing rules control the vehicle subject to the quote and policy rules.
Pickup and return instructions
After applying a fleet home pickup location, select an access method and write:
- Pickup instructions: up to 1,500 characters
- Return instructions: up to 1,500 characters
These are separate fields. Be specific about the meeting point, parking level or row, access method, key return, and who to contact in Carvia. Do not combine them into one claimed 5,000-character field.
Features, extras, and delivery
- Select catalog features or add custom feature labels.
- Create extras with a price, per-trip/per-day/per-item billing type, quantity, and description.
- Configure fleet delivery locations first, then tune the copied location for the vehicle with its name, fee, handoff method, instructions, and active status.
The current vehicle editor does not provide a free-delivery-threshold control.
The host app currently provides the vehicle-FAQ editor. Host web can display those saved FAQs to guests but does not yet expose the host editing control.
Inspection and review
Upload the completed annual inspection before sending the listing for operations review. A current approved inspection is required before the vehicle can be listed. Prelaunch beta graduation does not bypass vehicle readiness or review.
