Getting Paid: Payout Schedule
We initiate your first completed-trip payout 3 business days after the trip ends. After that, we initiate payouts 3 hours after each trip ends. Trips longer than 7 days pay in weekly installments.
Prelaunch: Live trips and payouts are not open yet. This schedule reflects the current launch configuration and may change before paid bookings begin.
Your first completed-trip payout
We initiate your first completed-trip payout 3 business days after the trip ends. For this initiation clock, business days exclude weekends. US federal holidays are not excluded.
Payouts after your first one
Once you have a payout that is pending or paid, we initiate later completed-trip payouts 3 hours after each trip ends. There is no request step or minimum balance.
If more than one payout is due for you on the same day, Carvia combines those amounts into one bank transfer. Your transaction history still keeps each trip, installment, and reimbursement item separate so the total is traceable.
Trips longer than 7 days
For a trip longer than 7 days, we schedule a partial payout every 7 days from the trip start while the trip is in progress. Each installment covers the trip-rate earnings accrued through that point, less any installment already scheduled or paid for that trip. After the trip ends, any remaining trip earnings follow your first-payout or later-payout timing above.
Bank processing time
Your bank takes an additional 3–5 business days after we initiate a payout. Carvia controls the initiation time shown in the host business workspace; your bank controls when the transfer posts to your account.
How to check your next payout date and balance
Your host business workspace shows:
- Your next scheduled initiation date.
- A running ledger of trip earnings, weekly installments, reimbursements, and completed payouts.
- Any amounts currently on hold pending a damage report.
Check it any time — there's no waiting for a statement or a support request to see where your money stands.
If a damage report is filed
If you or your guest files a damage report during the reporting window, the earnings tied to that specific trip can be held until the claim resolves, following the published Claims SLA. Unrelated eligible payouts continue on the schedule above. A held claim on one trip does not freeze your whole account.
Once the claim resolves, any separate approved claim payment follows the timing stated in the claim decision.
Reimbursements ride the same schedule
Paid tolls, eligible tickets, documented fuel, and additional-distance charges pass through to you at 100% and stay separate in your ledger. If a reimbursement is recorded after the trip payout was already initiated or paid, Carvia creates a supplemental payout item. See Toll and Ticket Reimbursement for the supported types and submission window.
Setting up or updating your payout account
Payouts go to the bank account linked through Stripe Connect, our payments partner. You'll set this up during listing setup — see How to List Your First Car — and it must be linked before your first trip's earnings can go out. To review payout status, open the host business workspace.
